To improve secondary school students’ knowledge of phishing techniques, this escape game invites them to deactivate a virus before it is triggered. How does it work? Placed in a room equipped with several computers, post-its and lockers locked by a code, students have 1 hour to crack the virus’s password.
Phishing is a type of confidence trick designed to gather information, defraud or gain access to a system. It differs from a traditional “scam” in that it is often just one of many steps in a more complex fraud scheme. The game uses real-life examples and scenarios to highlight the right reflexes to adopt in order to show how hackers manage to gain maximum credibility with their targets.
